In this episode, I had the opportunity to go for my first ‘guided ECO-tour.’ My girlfriend Thailin, a local Cambodian woman, accompanied me. She is an expert in sustainable agriculture and knows the area very well.
She was enthusiastic to share some basic knowledge. It was meaningful for me to learn something new and to show how a piece of rural Cambodia is nowadays. We just traveled 10 km away from Siem Reap to visit a local community of Krabei Riel.
The stories are mainly two:
1. Handmade baskets
2. Greenish farms (where veggies are cultivated)
